Save Bomb Girls
Posted on 23 Apr 2013

It’s official. Global TV has cancelled Bomb Girls. However, there is still hope we may sway them on their decision.

There’s lots of activity ongoing in the fandom, and savebombgirls.com is where you can see it all in one place.

There’s also a forum where everyone should register who’d like to help out or contribute ideas.

And most importantly: SPREAD THE WORD!!!

Our last chance to save Bomb Girls
Posted on 22 Apr 2013

This is incredibly important, because it's our last chance to have an impact on the future of Bomb Girls. E-mail Global and Shaw Media, pick up the phone, write a letter or postcard. Tell them why you think the show should be renewed.

Retweet and reblog this. Tell your friends to help out, even if they don't know the show. Every e-mail and other communication counts. Contact details for Shaw and Global are in the graphic above or right here:

Bomb Girls still needs your help!

This goes out to all Canadians: WATCH BOMB GIRLS ON MONDAY IF YOU WANT THE SHOW TO BE RENEWED!

Technically this only works if everyone with a ratings measuring device watches the show, but who knows, your neighbour might have one, your best friends’ parents, or your colleague at work or teacher at school. SPREAD THE WORD!

Even if you may not like Rosie O’Donnell very much, please don’t make this a reason not to get people to watch the show. Just consider that on Bomb Girls, she’s an actress, delivering lines in a role that was given to her. She’s out to do just as fine a job as all the other actors to make the show and its characters come to life. Bomb Girls does not lose its value because Rosie O’Donnell guest-starred in one episode, trust me.

Please help get Bomb Girls a third season!

Bomb Girls needs your help to get renewed for season 3, which would also mean more of a chance to see Peter Outerbridge reprise his role as Bob Corbett.

Details are in the graphic above, and you’ll need a Twitter account. Most important of all is that as many Canadians as possible tune in to episode 2x07 on March 25, because the ratings of that episode will have a significant impact on whether or not the show gets renewed.

Please help spread the word by reblogging this Tumblr post and/or retweeting this tweet. Thanks!

IFC picks up rights to release Haunter
Posted on 14 Mar 2013

News just came in that IFC has acquired the US distribution rights to the horror movie Haunter, which stars Abigail Breslin, Stephen McHattie, Peter Outerbridge, Michelle Nolden, and David Hewlett.

It's unclear what that means in terms of a theatrical release, but chances are it'll be a limited release at most, and video-on-demand before it goes to DVD/Blu-ray.

Outside of the US, it'll be distributed in Canada by Entertainment One, as well as in the UK by Studio Canal. Release dates have not been announced yet.

A first review of the movie can be found here. I haven't been able to find a trailer, which I shall take as a sign that they haven't released one online so far.
